The best places to get your rock music tickets from Part III
In the last blog post I was listing the places I go to when tickets for my favourite bands go on sale. There is no tried and tested formula as sometimes you can even get tickets by winning them in a text lottery, like I did for Live8 held a few years back in London’s Hyde Park. I got to see Pink Floyd, The Who and REM…
Generally, if you don’t get the tickets when they go on sale and they are now ‘Sold Out’ the next port of call for me is usually to test the prices they are selling for on eBay. Yes, I know eBay touts can be annoying – they buy up a whole bunch of tickets with the sole purpose for selling them on at a profit – however, if you want to go to that gig sometimes you have to bite the bullet.
Sometimes, for the less popular gigs, you can even get tickets at below the face value, so it does work both ways. It must be said that these occasions are generally few and far between.
There are alternatives to eBay, however, so I will look at those next.
