Rock Star Killed by Drunk Driver
It’s a sad day for all of us as we hear the news that a rock star has been killed. The former guitarist of Lizzie Borden, Corey Daum, also known as Corey James, was killed in the early hours of Saturday morning, 24th January 2009. The accident took place in Nashville, Tennessee and a man has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide.
Corey unfortunately passed away at the scene which was on the Interstate 40. The vehicle was being driven by Charles Wolford who has admitted to drinking alcohol.
The vehicle, a Ford Explorer, had driven over 3 lanes to get onto the on ramp of George L. Davis Boulevard and then drove straight into a concrete wall. With none of the passengers wearing seatbelts, it was a tough lesson to learn. Wolford has no serious injuries but Ravin Wells, another passenger, is in a stable condition.
When are people going to learn that life is not something to be taken for granted and safety precautions are there for a reason? Seatbelts save lives.
Another point to make would be the stupidity of driving while under the influence. These people need to learn their lesson. Unfortunately for Wolford, he has a lifetime ahead knowing that he was responsible for killing a friend.
Our thoughts are with Corey’s friends and family.

These are my friends. It is a tragic reminder to us all that we MUST think and make better decisions. One moment of stupidity can change so many peoples lives. No one should have to go through this. All of us who know them are changed forever, I can promise you that. Rest in peace Corey and we all will continue to support and pray for the survivors and their families.
