Recent news featuring The Who
The Who are one of the greatest rock bands of all time so it’s only right I update on some recent news featuring the band.
Firstly, their 1965 classic “My Generation” is among the 25 songs selected to join the US National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress this year. This is a great honour as songs must be over 10 years old and culturally or historically significant to even be considered for preservation into the special archive. The track recordings are nominated by the public and a panel of experts on the National Recording Preservation Board.
The digitally remastered deluxe double CD edition of classic 1967 album “The Who Sell Out” is now available. This edition contains previously unreleased songs and mixes.
Quadrophenia has now begun previews across the UK and the leading man Jimmy is being portrayed by four different actors – representing the different aspects of his character.
