Blink 182 rehearsals and possible tour with Weezer

There are a lot of rumours as well as news about Blink 182 going around at the moment. Since the last blog post regarding the band reuniting at the Grammy Awards back in February, we have all been waiting to hear what happens next.

Well, it has been reported that Blink 182 began rehearsing together again this week in preparation for their reformation tour from August to October this year.

According to a recent blog post by singer/bassist Mark Hoppus, the band is itching to get back on the road.

Hoppus said:

”Good day today. Started tracking the new Motion City Soundtrack record, and then four hours of Blink 182 rehearsal.

“It was the first time the three of us have played our instruments together in the same room in a long time. We still have sooo many songs to rehearse. Barely even scratched the surface today, and it was so much fun. Can’t wait to get this tour all put together!”

Some of the recent rumours about the band include their choice of touring partner. It has been suggested that Weezer will be touring alongside Blink 182 this summer. If this turns out to be true I for one will be hoping these bands reach British shores. I have been a fan of Weezer since their ‘Blue album’ released back in 1994 and have all their albums to date. It may seem like a strange match, but it may just work.

Hopefully there will be official news on this in the near future.
